For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God is the source of all love. We are the recipients of His Love, all we need do is invite Him into our heart. His Love for us is beyond measure. When He chose Mary to be the mother by immaculate conception, Jesus was conceived. God planned the life of Jesus for the purpose of saving the world. The sacrifice and the resurrection are a shows the depth of God's love for mankind.
When you think of love, often you think of "falling in Love." The kind of love that God bestows upon us is not a fall in love type of love. He created us out of Love. He will punish us out of Love. He blesses us out of love.
It is a merciful love that is not based on our actions or our ways. It is a Loving, devoted Father kind of love. Infinite, constant and guaranteed.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We love him, because He first loved us.
Jesus loves me, this I know. You were taught this song as a child in Sunday School and in public school. We grew up believing that Jesus loved us, and we did not know why? As we matured in Faith, the picture became clear.
We were taught that all provisions came from God. As children we were in awe by the simple things in life. We never missed the chance to acknowledge beautiful flowers, majestic trees, having food to eat, and a perfect family and an earthly home. We were never shy about showing our love for a things we knew were created by some unknown force. We would stand outside and watch the moon and stars and believe that God was up there.
For this very reason, it is proof that God first loved us before we got to know Him. As children, you are taught to believe. As you live, you see why you must believe.
His provisions, blessings and protection, are reason enough for us to love Him back.
